A chance look at an Instagram challenge last year prodded me into a month long study of Monet paintings.
The colours of this impressionist master, the way his strokes captured so much, yet on moving closer, dissolved into chaos, remains a huge inspiration to me.
Fresh from visiting ‘L’Orangerie’ the museum which holds the 4 gorgeous, larger than life mural paintings by Claude Monet, titled ‘Water Lilies’ or ‘Nymphéas’in French, I was more just a little excited to embark upon this.
Armed with fresh paint, clean brushes and the internet archive of Monet’s impressionist paintings, I began my studies!
