‘Digging Deeper’ is a collection of 2 short comics, one by me, and one by fellow comic creator Dhwani Shah.

The two stories are based on our experience of visiting a village in Goa named Pissurlem, whose lush beauty began to disappear when mining corporations began to dig beyond the permitted depth.

The project was embarked upon during our trip to learn about mining and make comics under the guidance of Orijit Sen at the University of Goa. We got the opportunity to speak with local activists, interact with students who were from such displaced families, and tried to capture our thoughts and feelings on paper.
